Tray-based teeth whitening

This is a system of professional teeth whitening which is conducted by the patient himself at home,  after the prior consultation with the dentist at the clinic.

Night, tray-based teeth whitening is a method that is absolutely safe, having the efficiency reaching around 90%. It allows to have the teeth whitened by a few shades, during a few days. The discolorations are removed only from the teeth. Any fillings, prosthetic reconstructions and crowns do not change the color in this treatment. This is the reason why it is recommended to have the teeth whitened with this method before the final composite fillings, crowns or veneers are done. Then it is possible to adjust their colour to the one of the whitened teeth. Also, the best effects are achieved when the patient waits optimally for two weeks, which guarantees the stabilisation of the colour. Teeth whitening lasts from 7 to 10 days and the effect remains for around 2 years (depending on the diet, oral hygiene and smoking). During the teeth whitening some patients suffer from temporary oversensitivity to cold temperature, which goes away a few days after the treatment.
